A.P. 1 (Dec. 1 – 20, 2018)
A new season is starting and we welcomed our first expedition with excitement! They had a meeting last night where the guides explained all the details of the trip. After that, they shared a delicious dinner paired with some great local wines.
The group is led by the experienced guide Rolo Abaca and assisted by Pablo Goldengruss, Camila Roldán and Andrés Paviglianiti.
They were all very motivated and excited to start the expedition, as you can see in the picture taken right before they left the city.
Today they went to Penitentes to spend the night and tomorrow they will start the 3-day approach hike with a beautiful scenery along the Vacas and Ameghino Valleys towards Base Camp. This hike gives them the opportunity to start with the acclimatization process.
The guides are taking with them a satellite phone to keep us updated. As soon as we hear from them, we will be posting more news!
