Resting at base camp

The team arrived yesterday to Plaza Argentina (14200 ft). Today they are going to rest and enjoy the comforts of Base Camp.

They will also get ready for the carry to camp I. From here they will do a carry of gear and food to the next camp, come back to sleep at a lower altitude, then they move to the higher camp, where they spend a rest day to do the proper acclimatization process.

We are attaching a picture of the approach to Base camp with Aconcagua’s east face in the background.

We will keep you informed
