Kudos to the team! After a gigantic effort of 18 days the team reached 6,400 meters (21,000′).

They departed early this morning from High Camp, encountering brutally cold conditions up there.

The team did not reach the summit this time.

Weather was fierce at the beginning of the trip, forcing the group to stay up to 7 nights at Base Camp.

These conditions were unusual than normally and we have the highest respect for all the clients on the team. What they experienced is actually significantly harder than most trips.

Our guides did also, as usual, a superb job keeping everyone safe and highly motivated.

Congratulations to all of them.

The team successfully moved to High Camp today. They are now at 19,200′ and they will spend the night there. It is still windy, but they are fine and motivated as they get closer to the top.

According to the forecast, the weather is getting better the next couple of hours. Rolo, the lead guide, called us to say they are planning to continue towards the summit tomorrow.

The team is resting at Camp 2 and is planning to move the High Camp tomorrow. The weather looks a lot better, as the winds are a bit slower.

The group is getting close to the summit and they are doing great, resting and keeping hydrated.

Since the team left Base Camp, they have moved up fast. Yesterday they went to Camp 1 and spent the night there.

Today the group woke up and continued to Camp 2 at 17,500′. They are motivated and excited as they start to reach more altitude.

They will be planning their next steps during the following days according to the weather conditions.

The team hiked near Base Camp today, enjoying amazing views and taking beautiful pictures. They are fine and staying hydrated for the upcoming days.

The group is planning to move to Camp 1 tomorrow, expecting better weather conditions. They will start moving up fast towards the summit.

They have stayed longer than usually at Base Camp, because it has been brutally windy up high. Other teams that have stayed up on the mountain have descended with their tents broken.

The team spent the day at Base Camp and tomorrow they will stay there too. The expedition have enough time and they are planning to move up fast trying their final shot for the summit.

It was a smart decision to come down for a few days, as some other groups that stayed up on the mountain are already coming down with their tents damaged by the strong winds.

High winds of up to 85 km./h. (as seen in the picture below) prevented the group from carrying to Camp 2 and they decided to go back to Base Camp. It is a very clever decision and this rest will result in a superb acclimatization to the team.

This trip has been delayed more than normally, but we are confident that they will get blessed with a good weather window. As the picture shows, winds will be decreasing drastically in a few days.

The group woke up at Base Camp today and after having breakfast they left towards Camp 1. They successfully got there this afternoon reaching an altitude of 16,300′.

It is still windy up there, so they will decide their next steps according to the upcoming weather conditions.

The group rested at Plaza Argentina Base Camp today.

According to the weather forecast, there will be strong winds tomorrow. Because of this, they decided to stay another day at Base Camp waiting for the winds to slow down. This will also give them the chance to get even more used to the altitude.

They are all doing great and keeping strong. The pictures below show this motivated team sharing a meal at Base Camp.

The team carried some loads to Camp 1 today. They gained more altitude as they reached 16,300′. Tomorrow they are staying at Plaza Argentina Base Camp to rest. This will help them to get a good acclimatization.

We spoke with Rolo, the lead guide, who told us they got back to Base Camp this afternoon and that they are all fine.
