Today the team reached the summit of the highest mountain in the World outside the Himalayas (with an altitude of 22,834 ft). A great achievement that they surely never forget!

Now they will complete the Aconcagua traverse, by descending to base camp Plaza de Mulas today and they will be back at Mendoza tomorrow. Where they will celebrate this great achievement!

We are very happy for them.

Rolo said that everybody did it great! They are going to sleep in Camp II tonigth and move to High Camp tomorrow.They may try to go to the summit on Friday, it depends on the weather.

The group reached Camp II (17,700 ft) today.

They want to take advantage of the good weather so If everybody feels well tomorrow they will go to High Camp at almost 6000 m! If not they will rest at Camp II.

Rolo said that everyone is fine and motivated, they are acclimatizing well and working hard.

The team made it safely to Camp I (16,000ft) today.

Rolo said that everybody is fine and adapting to the high altitude. Besides the weather for the next few days is good, so they have the opportunity to keep going up.

Anyway, tonight they will decide what to do tomorrow.

The team carried the loads to camp 1(16,000 ft) yesterday. It is a bit windy so they have not yet decided whether to move to Camp I or stay one more day at Base Camp.

After hiking the Vacas Valley and the Relinchos Valley, then team arrived today to Plaza Argentina (14200 ft). Everyone is fine, they are going to rest and get ready for their first steps in height.

They will stay a few days to gain a good acclimatization because in Plaza Argentina they have some services that they won’t have in height.

The group is now in Penitentes where they will spend the last night with amenities like bed and shower and tomorrow they will start the three-day trek to the Base Camp.

Before that we shared a meeting and a welcoming dinner in Mendoza where we all enjoyed the local food and the wines that Mendoza always offer.

The team is led by  local guides Rolo and Matias, excellent guides from Mendoza, who have worked many years in the mountains.

Five climbers start an adventure that they will surely remember for the rest of their lives.

We attach a photo taken at the entrance of the Hyatt before they leave.

We will be updating information as the Guide call me from their sat phone.
