										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The team got to the summit!! The group stood at 22,834 ft, the highest point of America and the highest mountain out of Himalayas. Probably a lifetime experience for everyone. It was a hard day but now the team is going to High Camp where they are going to sleep tonigth.</p>
<p>Tomorrow they will be going down to Plaza de Mulas, to complete the Aconcagua traverse and they will be at Mendoza on Monday.</p>
<p>Congratulations to the team!</p>
<p>We are very happy for them.</p>

<p>Now the weather is windy but there is a good weather window over the weekend. They are thinking on going to the summit after Saturday but remember that conditions in the mountain can change fast and every plan is open to change.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The group reached Plaza Argentina (14,000ft) yesterday, after a 3 day hike through the Relinchos Valley. This is the place where the climbers begin to acclimatize to altitude.</p>
<p>Rolo, the lead guide, said that everybody is fine and did it great! Today they will rest and enjoy the food there.</p>
<p>The plan is to carry the loads to Camp I tomorrow and return to Base Camp to sleep. That is the carry-move-rest system that they will use from now on to gain altitude.</p>

<p>Today the eighth group of this season left Mendoza. They will spend a night in Penitentes and tomorrow will begin to walk to get to Base Camp. They rode a van to Los Penitentes, the last bed and hot shower in two weeks for them.</p>
<p>Before that we shared a meeting and a welcoming dinner in Mendoza where we all enjoyed the local food and the wines that Mendoza always offer.</p>
<p>Five climbers and two guides began an experience that will surely change their lives. We wish them the best!</p>
<p>Here is the famous photo of all the team!</p>
<p>We will post more information every time I talk to them by the satellite telephone.</p>
